I wanted to create a playful illustrated lettering, and since I love illustrating puns, I decided to give this one a try.
I had two things in mind when sketching this lettering: one of these words would have a cheesy shape/texture to match the pizza, and the pizza needed to have something fun about it.
I used the pepperoni and the meltiness of the cheese to create the eyes and a subtle ‘yikes’ expression.
